“… there was always the feeling of adventure, looking for whatever the country held, wondering
what life was there long ago and what was there today.” — Margaret E. Murie, Two in the Far North
Welcome. Whenever I read these words from Margaret Murie, I’m struck by her use of the word “wondering.” Maybe wondering is what led you here. Wondering is certainly what compels me to write.
Writing has always been a means of exploration for me. It’s closely tied to the sense of discovery I feel when I travel, whether it’s to a faraway place or somewhere close to home. The act of taking a journey parallels the act of writing a story. Place and story are inseparable.
I hope you enjoy exploring these pages.
